What is a TBR jar - TBR Prompts Ideas

Do you ever find yourself stuck in a reading slump, staring at your shelves or e-reader device, unsure of what to read next? Which is exactly the problem I am facing every time I want to read the next book!
A TBR (To Be Read) Jar might be just the solution you need to make choosing your next book more exciting and spontaneous!

What is a TBR Jar?

A TBR jar is a simple, fun tool that book lovers use to help them decide what to read next. A TBR Jar isn’t just about picking random books but it’s about making your reading journey more exciting and adventurous. By using a jar filled with prompts, you push yourself to explore new genres, authors, and ideas you might not normally choose. Plus, it’s a fun and low-pressure way to make reading decisions when you're overwhelmed by your TBR pile.

How to Make Your Own TBR Jar:

  • Find a jar or container you love (a mason jar, cup, or even a box will do).
  • Write or print the prompts on small slips of paper. I’ve even created some free, printable TBR Jar labels that you can download from my store, so you don’t have to worry about making your own! (keep reading to get access to my freebies!)
  • Fold them up, toss them in, and draw a slip every time you’re ready for a new book!

If you’re into aesthetics, you can customise the jar to match your reading style! Consider adding stickers, ribbons, or even a custom label to give it a personal touch.

Here, I’m showing you the container I found in my kitchen, but it still looks so aesthetic so I don't have to add my personal touch. But I would like to do that in the future!
